Orange Dual Terror - Gig Report

No sooner than the Orange Dual Terror had landed in our warehouse, it was whisked off smartly by our very own Digital Village neo-punkists, Hans Briikx, to be shown off to their admiring fans at the Bull and Gate in Kentish Town. This is a great room to play, there are no reflective surfaces causing unwanted frequencies to bounce around, therefore everything can be heard clearly, an ideal situation to evaluate a piece of gear.

Live music is close to all of our hearts here at DV247, not least because most of us are gigging musicians. That’s why when the 2003 Licensing Act came into law, effectively criminalising live music in venues not able to invest in costly licenses, we were appalled.
As UK law stands, if you’re a solo performer playing a guitar, a keyboard or any other musical instrument in a bar, a restaurant, a school or even a hospital that can’t afford to buy the correct license, then both you and the venue are committing a crime.
